1969.- Doctor Celestino Cobiella Zaera opened the Clínica Bellevue in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife - Spain) - which now bears the name HOSPITEN BELLEVUE - being the Group's oldest medical centre. 1980.- The Clínica Tamaragua, now known as HOSPITEN TAMARAGUA, was founded eleven years later, also in the town of Puerto de la Cruz. This is a centre in which birth is one of the main priorities, pre-natal classes being of great importance.
1984.- The Centro Internacional de Salud Playa de Las Américas - now known as HOSPITEN SUR - was founded in Playa de las Américas (Tenerife). It was intended to meet healthcare demands in the south of Tenerife. To this end, the centre has not ceased to grow, incorporating and consolidating important medical services such as haemodynamics.
1999.- In September of that year, the facilities of HOSPITEN LANZAROTE were opened on the island of Lanzarote. Located in (Tías), this is the island's only private hospital.
2000.- In the first quarter of the year, the new HOSPITEN BAVARO hospital centre was opened in the Dominican Republic. It was the Group's first hospital to be built outside Spain. It has become the benchmark for healthcare services in the country's largest tourist area.
2001.- The HOSPITEN SANTO DOMINGO was incorporated over the course of the year. Located in the Dominican capital, it has - through its equipment and extensive range of specialisms and services - become of the most important hospitals in the country.
Also in 2001, HOSPITEN acquired a major share in the HOSPITEN CLÍNICA ROCA SAN AGUSTÍN, which then became part of the Group. Located in the south of Gran Canaria, this centre provides high-quality medical services to the population in that part of the island.
2003.- HOSPITEN Cancun opened in Mexico in July. It is the first of the Group's hospitals in that country, consolidating the requirements of a demanding local population and the many visitors who choose to go to one of the world's leading tourist destinations.
2005.- HOSPITEN Estepona opens this year, in Málaga. The Group's first hospital in mainland Spain has been set up to respond to the growing demand for high-quality healthcare services generated by an area in a state of constant expansion.
