Hospiten Lanzarote celebrates 15 years at the service of the island, during which they have attended 425,000 patients

The hospital, which opened to the public in 1999, today offers more than 18 specialties and 59 beds, with 159 professionals contributing to the quality and range of healthcare services available in Lanzarote.

Hospiten Lanzarote celebrates its 15th anniversary on the island, where the hospital has become a consolidated reference in private healthcare with a total of 426,726 people attended and 30,251 surgical procedures carried out since opening.

The hospital, in Puerto del Carmen, offers more than 18 medical specialties, thus helping to improve the healthcare for local residents and visitors to the island. The facilities provide quality services in areas like gynecology, cardiology, pediatrics, internal medicine, urology, clinical neurophysiology, anesthetics or general surgery, among others.

Since opening to the public in 1999, Hospiten Lanzarote has grown and now has 51 beds, an 8-bed ICU, a 6-cubicle E.R., three operating rooms, a birthing room, a CT Scanner and an MRI Unit, which did 5,570 studies in 2013 making it one of the services most in demand at the center together with the E.R., which attended 10,432 people last year. Furthermore, among the healthcare activity carried out at Hospiten Lanzarote in 2013 were 10,036 radiographic studies and 90,338 clinical analyses.

Firm in their aim of providing quality service, the Hospiten Lanzarote human team has grown over the years, going from 64 to 159 professionals.

Fruit of its trajectory, in 2007 Hospiten Lanzarote was designated one of the best private hospitals in Spain, within the Top 20 drawn up annually by IASIST and evaluated by a specialist scientific commission.

The center is part of the Hospiten Group, which is 100% Canary capital and which has 16 medical-hospital centers and more than 100 ambulatory centers in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico.
