Hospiten opens a new hospital in Mexico

Hospiten continues to expand internationally and to consolidate their presence in the Mexican healthcare sector with the opening of a new hospital in Cabo San Lucas, in Bajo California Sur. The group has invested some 30m$ to build and equip the center, which will be a reference in healthcare services in the area.

Hospiten Cabo San Lucas offers a 24/7 Emergency Room with 10 boxes, outpatients’, hospitalization and intensive care, operating rooms, a birthing room, hemodialysis, a catheterization lab, image diagnosis, MRI, CT scanning, ultrasound and other state-of-the-art medical and diagnostic equipment.

The president of the Hospiten Group, Pedro Luis Cobiella Suarez, accompanied by the senior managers of the company and the Secretary of State for Health, oversaw the inauguration of the hospital, which was also attended by the Secretary for Tourism for Baja California Sur, the mayoress of Los Cabos and other state and local dignitaries.

During the ceremony local authorities gave a special mention to the contribution of Hospiten in providing health services to both the local resident population of the Los Cabos and to the many visitors to the region. 

Pedro Luis Cobiella spoke of the special interest the company has in continuing to expand in Mexico, where the group has been working since 2003 and has five hospitals in Cancun, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta, San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, whose hallmark is their attention to quality and exceptional services.
