HOSPITEN ESTEPONA promotes continuing education for its professionals.

Posted on 10-01-2013

On November 18 and 19, HOSPITEN Estepona gave a course for doctors and registered nurses working in the hospital’s Emergency Room on advanced CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a series of techniques whose aim is to keep the vital organs oxygenated when a person’s blood circulation stops suddenly, irrespective of the cause of the cardio-respiratory arrest.
It has been shown that when CPR is applied by people trained in the technique and is started immediately after the cardiac arrest, the procedure can be effective in the saving of lives.
The course dealt with the latest protocols in the subject and included workshops and simulated real situations in the cardiac arrest cubicle.

The course is given every year at HOSPITEN Estepona so that the healthcare professionals staffing our Emergency Room every day receive continuing training in the latest techniques in Advanced Life Support in accordance with the latest recommendations for 2010 from the ERC (European Resuscitation Council).

The Hospiten Group is an international hospital network committed to providing first class healthcare services. With over 40 years’ experience, the HOSPITEN Group has twelve private hospitals in Spain,  the Dominican Republic and Mexico, attends more than 600,000 patients from all over the world a year and employs over 3,000 people.
