Hospiten and Universidad Anáhuac Cancún expand their collaboration by boosting the training of future doctors

Posted on 11-03-2024

Hospiten and Universidad Anáhuac Cancún signed a collaboration agreement that will open the doors to the students of the International Medical School of Universidad Anáhuac Cancún. This alliance, aimed to take effect with the class that starts the internship in July 2024, will allow students to take up their training in one of Hospiten’s five hospitals in Mexico (Cancun, Riviera Maya, San José del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta). Before this agreement, this opportunity was only available in Cancun, and now it has been extended to the other centers of our group.

This new agreement represents a one-of-a-kind opportunity for future doctors, as they will gain hands-on experience in a medical environment of international excellence. Hospiten’s hospitals are renowned for offering top-notch healthcare and for their cutting-edge facilities, which will ensure interns obtain integral, high-quality learning.

The medical leadership of Hospiten’s five centers will designate highly-trained specialists as academic responsibles. They will guide and supervise the interns throughout their stay, ensuring all students get a beneficial educational experience.

The students will have a syllabus specifically designed to complement their theoretical learning process with significant hands-on experience. This program will focus on the key areas of medicine, allowing the interns to apply their knowledge in real situations under the expert supervision of Hospiten’s medical team.

“We are satisfied to take this collaboration from Hospiten Cancun to the rest of the hospitals our group has in Mexico,” says Dr. Italo Sampablo, Corporate Medical Chief of Hospiten for Mexico and professor at the International Medical School of Universidad Anáhuac Cancún for more than ten years. “We firmly believe in the importance of helping our students to complement their academic training with practice. This collaboration will not only benefit our interns but also contribute to the advancement of medicine in Mexico.”

The alliance between Hospiten and Universidad Anáhuac de Cancún represents a joint commitment to excellence in medical training and healthcare. We hope this collaboration will benefit students and patients, who will receive high-quality attention from the participant future doctors.
