Entre los pocos oftalmólogos a nivel internacional con acreditación en Cirugía Refractiva y Cataratas (FEBO-CR), además de certificaciones por el Colegio Mundial de Cirugía Refractiva y Ciencias Visuales (FWCRS) y el Colegio Americano de Cirujanos (FACS). Autor y coautor de más de 100 publicaciones científicas y capítulos de libros. Miembro activo de sociedades internacionales como ISRS, ASCRS, ESCRS y la Sociedad Estadounidense de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva Oftálmica, participando en congresos y ponencias.
