Footballer Amath Ndiaye has been chosen by fans of CD Tenerife as the MVP Hospiten 16-17, which this year opens with its first edition. Amath received the best rating in the votes held during the 42 weeks of the league. The African center midfielder finished the regular competition with 12 goals under his belt, becoming the top scorer of the squad 16-17.
The blue and white player, on loan from Atletico de Madrid, was the best valued by Tenerife fans during the 42 weeks of the season from August until last weekend.
"It is an honor for me to receive this first MVP Hospiten trophy and I want to thank all the fans for the trust and affection that they have not only put in me but in the rest of my teammates. We are really happy," said the player on receiving the award.
Presentation of the award took place at the HRL Stadium by Juan Jose Hernandez, CEO of the Hospiten Group and Diana Cobiella, board member of the Hospiten Group. Mr. Hernandez stressed that, "it is a satisfaction for us to deliver this trophy because it is in our DNA to promote the values transmitted by sport¨. The MVP Hospiten had an average of 500 votes per game, an interest that increased in the final days of the season.
