Santa Cruz de Tenerife, February 10 2017: The Hospiten Group is again collaborating with the organization of Tenerife Bluetrail and has set up a talk about the hearts of athletes and controlling the heart rate whilst under pressure to explain to runners and other sportspeople how important it is to monitor one’s cardiovascular response to maximum pressure.

The talk, next February 23 at 19.00 in the head office of Hospiten in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, will be given by Dr. Alejandro de la Rosa, specialist in sports cardiology at Hospiten Rambla, will offer advice to runners on how to learn their submaximal, aerobic and anaerobic thresholds, and what tools are available to measure these accurately.

The Hospiten specialist states that the public must be reminded of the need to do physical exercise to prevent cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, he underlines the importance of check-ups before doing sport to reduce the risk of cardiovascular accidents during demanding physical effort, like mountain runs.

Registration is free of charge and can be done via jornadasycursos@hospiten.com until 15.00, next February 22.

By repeating their collaboration with Tenerife Bluetrail, in addition to promoting healthy lifestyles associated with sport, Hospiten wishes to endorse other values related to the development of a sustainable, environment friendly society.
