The Tenerife F.C. striker, Ayoze Perez, enjoyed a unique experience this morning. For over an hour he shared some special moments with more than a hundred schoolchildren from the Isabel La Catolica School, a state school in capital of Tenerife.

The event was endorsed by the Hospiten Group, an official sponsor of the club, which promotes and supports all the recommendations on prevention of injury and healthy living among the young.

With the anthem of Tenerife F.C. playing in the background, Ayoze arrived at the school to the first applause of the morning. The headmaster, Felipe Cordero, introduced the player and explained the agenda for the event. Then the ‘Blues and Whites’ top scorer of the season spoke about his experience as sportsman, from his beginnings to date, pointing out the importance of a healthy lifestyle, eating habits, the sacrifice, hard work, discipline and commitment.

Later, many of the children present asked Ayoze about fifty questions touching on current matters for the local team and about the player’s present and future. The young fans expressed their support of the club, the players and the huge interest in and their thirst for information on their local club.

The player answered each and every one of the questions and posed with all the children and their teachers for the traditional group photo. He then signed autographs and the event ended with the traditional chant in support of the Tenerife team.

It was undoubtedly a great event, held last Wednesday, and in the name of a healthy life, a healthy lifestyle, focusing on the effort, sacrifice and hard work required to achieve one’s goals.
