Hospiten Sur has delivered rescue material to the Volunteer Firefighters Association in Valle Gran Rey in La Gomera, as part of the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
The event, held at Hospiten Sur, was attended by the president of the Volunteer Firefighters Association in Valle Gran Rey, Juan Elias Bello, and the head of the Fire Station, Guillermo Barroso and on behalf of the Hospiten Group, Rafael Martinez, general manager of Hospiten Sur and Dr. Tomas Febles, medical director of the hospital.
Rafael Martinez said he was delighted to be able to collaborate with different groups and organizations with a clear vocation of service to society. "This mattress will certainly help them in the great work they have done over the last 6 years on the island, helping and contributing to the safety of residents and visitors to the island. So, we hope to continue collaborating on other occasions”, he added.
Guillermo Barroso thanked the group for the donation and explained that the equipment would enable them to provide better quality assistance and safety, especially in those rescues where access is difficult for the helicopter, due to the island’s rugged landscape.
This collaboration is part of Hospiten’s corporate social responsibility policy that the group is continuously applying and with which it aims to work with Canary society and improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups.
