Hospiten Santo Domingo officially opened its new Intensive Care Unit today.
Renovation of the unit required an investment of 13 million DR$ and is considered one of the most modern in the country. The inauguration event was attended by the Minister for Public Health, Dr. Rafael Sanchez Cardenas.
The area is equipped with high-comfort beds, individual cubicles, individual air-conditioning, controllable lighting, background music channel, TV and natural light. The unit is prepared to attend multidisciplinary and neurology patients.
Likewise, a modern, fully-integrated central patient-monitoring system has been installed and, together with specialized staff and a team of cardiologists, specialist physicians will care for the critical patient.
“As part of the Hospiten Group’s investment plans, today we present a multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit providing vanguard health care for a growing country and with today’s medical needs”, explained Xabier Pacios, General Manager of Hospiten Dominican Republic.
