Centro Medico Paitilla (CMP), after serving the Panama population for 43 years, and is now part of the Spanish international group Hospiten, has always been dedicated to first rate service and patient safety and has achieved certification in international regulations ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, and is currently working to gain a third certification.
Committed to continued improvement in health services, CMP was rewarded with these certificates after 10 months of external auditing, beginning in May 2018 and reaching completion in March 2019, highlighting the dedication required to carry out effective and efficient hospital management.
Seeking efficiency in their activities and services and optimizing all processes with the aim of achieving the patients’ well-being, ISO 9001:2015 provides a management model with which to obtain steady, stable production consisting of applying standardized guidelines in procedures to make a positive impact on clients, patients and the environment. The regulation improves our positioning and image on the current market and reduces costs by identifying the best use of resources and any weak areas.
The regulation of standards also improves the way information is documented, meaning that all hospital processes are recorded in writing and administration is more efficient.
The Centro Medico Paitilla reaffirms its commitment to the environment by becoming the first private hospital to obtain the ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management Systems certification. By this means it is possible to identify, classify and separate materials, chemical reagents, hospital waste, which reduces the impact on the flora and fauna of the country.
To do so, on a daily basis the hospital extracts, separates and preserves the remains of reagents in airtight containers, so that they do not impact other partners or the environment.
In addition to these two international certifications, CMP is working to obtain a third certification, ISO 15189:2012, for the improvement in the quality of its clinical laboratory processes.
Centro Medico Paitilla aims to become the best hospital in Panama with a focus on patient care, as an innovative institution that works towards the future to meet the expectations of customers, patients and partners.
