The Spanish Cancer Association (AECC) is organizing the fifth edition of 'Tenerife on the march against cancer', a solidarity walk through the streets of the historic center of La Laguna next Saturday, July 2, setting out at 10 am.
This is an initiative supported by the city council of La Laguna and by other collaborators and sponsors like CaixaBank, Mutua Tinerfeña, Mr. Wonderful and the Hospiten Group.
This edition starts at the Plaza del Cristo and goes through the main pedestrian streets of the city of the Adelantados. A journey of about five kilometers. Registration costs 5 euros and can be done at the Spanish Cancer Association office in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The presentation of this new date with solidarity, which took place in La Laguna, was attended by the president of the Spanish Cancer Association in the province of Tenerife, Andres Orozco; the president of La Laguna City Council Autonomous Sports Organization, Idaira Afonso; the CaixaBank Business Manager for Northeast Tenerife, Lisbeth Gutierrez; the president of Mutua Tinerfeña, Jose Antonio Lopez de Vergara and Hospiten Group General Manager for Spain, Rafael Navarro.
Andres Orozco, president of the AECC in the province of Tenerife, thanked La Laguna City Council and the sponsors for their involvement in the walk, and encouraged citizens to visit La Laguna as a family on July 2 "to highlight the fight against this disease, of which 12,000 new cases are diagnosed every year in the Canary Islands, so we really must pay careful attention it”.
'Tenerife on the march against cancer' has organized activities from 10:00 am on to provide a morning building awareness and of family entertainment, coming together in the commitment to the fight against cancer.
