The Hospiten Group communications team was the winner of the Ramón del Corral 2023 National Awards, granted by the Association of Communications Directors (Dircom), for its informative work in the launch of the Consultation on Spanish Sign Language initiative.
Hospiten received this recognition in the “Social Commitment” section at the sixth edition of the awards designed to distinguish excellence and good communications practices in all their aspects. Specifically, the prize-winning project aimed to eliminate the communication barriers faced by people who are deaf or suffer from loss of hearing.
The communications team was in competition for these awards with two other projects in the same category, ‘The Burger that couldn’t be’ from MCDONALD´S and ‘Invincible. Capable of Everything’ from the SPANISH PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE.
The Dircom 2023 Awards, which recognise the best communications initiatives and practices in Spain saw a record participation, with 225 projects presented, representing 113 businesses. The Awards Ceremony took place at the Espacio Pablo VI centre, in Madrid
The winning project, ‘A Consultation on Spanish Sign Language’, is now a national benchmark for guaranteeing ease of access and equality in healthcare for the hard of hearing, via the appropriate tools and procedures designed to suit the needs of this diverse social group.
