The heads of the Hospiten Group and of Telefonica in the Canaries have signed an agreement for Telefonica to take over their data processing center at the NAP (Neutral Access Point) in Granadilla.

They are the first client in the healthcare sector in the Canaries to entrust Telefonica with their data processing center.

The agreement makes Telefonica the technological partner of the Hospiten Group, providing efficiency, security and scalability in its infrastructures.

The president of the Hospiten Group, Pedro Luis Cobiella and the general manager of Telefonica in the Canaries, Juan Jose Flores, have signed an agreement for to outsource the group’s data center.

The agreement was signed at the head office of the Technological Institute of Renewable Energies (ITER), where the NAP facilities are located, in the presence of the president of the Tenerife Island Government, Carlos Alonso.

Telefonica has also become the technological partner for the Hospiten Group, whose growth in recent years and evolution towards a centralized system requires data management infrastructure that can provide security, availability and control of information for the sixteen medical-hospital centers the Hospiten Group has in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica and which will have their data centralized at the Telefonica center.

Telefonica provides safe, solid data connectivity and an efficient scalable infrastructure from their excellent facilities at the NAP premises promoted by the Tenerife Island Government. That is why the Hospiten Group has chosen Telefonica.

The Hospiten Group is a point of reference in the private healthcare sector in the Canaries and is the first client in the sector to put their data processing systems in the hands of Telefonica, joining the group of clients already using the operator’s Data Management Center in the Canary Islands
