At the Canarias Basketball Club’s office, Felix Hernandez and Pedro Luis Cobiella signed the agreement making Hospiten the club’s official medical service provider. The Hospiten Group continues to show its support of the club, of which the group has already acquired a stake to support the club’s becoming a Publically Traded Sports Company, an indispensable requirement to go on competing in the ACB (Basketball Club Association).
From Tuesday, August 27, Canarias BC players will submit to the corresponding medical check-ups at Hospiten Rambla as part of basic heart disease prevention. In addition, Hospiten Rambla has a large Sports Trauma Unit which will be able to treat or prevent setbacks that may come up during the season.
Both companies commit to carrying out joint social and sports ventures, such as actions to promote basketball among the island’s youngsters, particularly among the less fortunate sectors of society with the participation of professional Canarias BC players.
The President of Canarias BC, Felix Hernandez, expressed his satisfaction at the agreement reached with the Hospiten Group and at being able to rely on a prestigious, international healthcare institution to provide quality medical care for the team, which makes us proud and satisfied.
