The councilor attached to the delegations of Youth and Sports, Adrián Trujillo, the provincial delegate of the Andalusian Triathlon Federation, Carlos Noboa, and the representative of the Sports Club 'Estepona Triathlon', Alvaro Lucena, and representatives of Hospiten presented yesterday the 20th edition of the traditional 'Villa de Estepona' Triathlon, which, as usual, will gather more than 400 participants on Sunday August 13.
The competition will be developed in the sprint mode, starting at 09.00 for federated participants and at 10.00 for non-federated participants. The test will take place over a distance of 750 meters of swimming at La Rada beach, followed by an urban circuit of 20 kilometers by bicycle that will cross the San Lorenzo, Juan Carlos I and Martín Méndez avenues, and to finish the triathletes will run 5 kilometers through the downtown Estepona to the finishing line on San Lorenzo Avenue.
Vests may be picked up on the same day of the competition, in the tent set up in the transition area on San Lorenzo Avenue, from 07.00 to 08.30, and the day before the trial (Saturday 12), in the same location, from 19.00 to 21.00.
With the sponsorship of this triathlon, which is already a classic in summer sports events, Hospiten Estepona supports the organization of the trial and commits itself to the municipality by promoting health and sports.
The XX Villa de Estepona Triathlon 2017 is organized by the Provincial Council of Malaga, the City of Estepona and the Estepona Triathlon Sports Club, in addition to being attended by the Andalusian Triathlon Federation as a supplier of services, sponsorship of Hospiten Estepona and the collaboration of numerous local clubs.
