Dr. Juan Antonio Santana, coordinator of the E.R. at the center since the year 2000, takes on the new responsibility
Hospiten Lanzarote has announced that the new medical director of the center in Tías is to be Dr. Juan Antonio Santana, who has worked for the Canary healthcare group as coordinator of the Emergency Room since the year 2000.
The announcement came after the recent retirement of the previous medical director, Dr. Martin de Francisco Lorenzo, after 15 years’ of professional excellence in the position of medical director and head of the Anesthesia service at Hospiten Lanzarote.
Juan Antonio Santana holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Granada (1987-1993), a Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, specializing in Ergonomics and applied Psychosociology, and is certified Research Proficient, achieving a score of excellent, for his dissertation “Teleradiology applied in a small hospital environment”.
In addition to his experience in the Hospiten Group, Juan Antonio Santana has extensive experience in the Canary Health Service and has worked with the Spanish Red Cross as a volunteer doctor, among other organisms.
