The Hospiten Group has handed over to the Social Services of the Arona and Adeje town councils various pallets of school material to be distributed among 170 children whose families find themselves in economic difficulties.
At the presentation event, the president of the Hospiten Group, Pedro Luis Cobiella, explained the material was destined to infant and primary aged children and aimed to make the start of the school year as normal as possible by ensuring that all the youngsters have the same conditions and chances.
With that aim in mind, the hospital group, once again, was supported by the councilors for Social Affairs for Arona and Adeje, Clara Perez and Amada Trujillo respectively, who will be in charge of distributing the material among the families most in need according to the municipal census, and also had the collaboration of local schools, who provided a list of all the material needed.
The initiative forms part of an activity program carried out by Hospiten management and workers aiming to help improve the quality of life of residents in the south of Tenerife who have been most affected by the economic situation and, particularly the most vulnerable, as are children.
