The initiative is possible thanks to the agreement signed between the club and the Hospiten Group, the new oficial medical sponsor of the Tenerife team.
Last Tuesday morning, the first group of Canarias BC 2013-14 players started their round of medical check-ups prior to the official start of the pre-season at Hospiten Rambla in Santa Cruz. The initiative is possible thanks to the agreement recently signed between the Tenerife club and the Hospiten Group, the new official medical sponsor of the Canary team.
Professional players Ricardo Uriz, Saul Blanco, Jaime Heras and Nico Richotti underwent the pertinent tests at the hands the professionals of the prestigious medical center, as did Sergio Rodriguez and Mamadou Ndieye Niang, players with Royal Club Nautico from the EBA (Spanish Amateur Basketball) League, to which Canarias BC is associated.
The tests took place in the Cardiology Service and included routine blood and urine tests, stress test, echocardiogram and electrocardiogram.
The remaining players of the first gold and black team will be arriving on the island progressively in the next few days. The next round of check-ups will take place next Tuesday, September 3 – the day before the first team trains for the first time this 2013/14 season, due to take place on Wednesday, September 4 in the afternoon.
