Hospiten Rambla University Hospital has been recognized as the most reputable private hospital in the Canary Islands, according to Merco Salud. The ceremony, held yesterday, Thursday, June 18, was attended by Rafael Navarro, CEO of Hospiten in Spain, as well as the hospital’s management team.
During the award ceremony, Enrique Mañas, CEO of Merco, explained that “the highest-rated organizations are those that place reputation at the center of their strategy and maintain a sustained commitment to excellence and transparency.”
Merco Salud is the only independent study that analyzes the reputation of the entire Spanish healthcare system. The research is based on the evaluation of various stakeholders in the healthcare system through three approaches: first, the assessments of medical professionals, including more than 6,000 hospital specialists and primary care physicians; second, the opinions of other key sector stakeholders, such as nursing professionals, hospital executives, healthcare managers, pharmacy directors, patient associations, and specialized journalists; and, third, an objective analysis of more than 145 clinical services based on quality and management indicators. In addition, it is complemented by a study of the digital landscape—Merco Salud Digital—which analyzes more than 339,000 mentions and publications.
Rafael Navarro emphasized that “this recognition highlights our professionals’ commitment to excellence in care and quality patient care, and encourages us to continue working to provide a leading healthcare service.”
Merco Salud’s methodology and its proven track record make this study the benchmark for evaluating healthcare reputation in Spain. Thus, this study provides an in-depth analysis of the Spanish healthcare system, compiling rankings in four categories: public hospitals with the best reputation, private hospitals with the best reputation, the best clinical services in Spain across 40 medical specialties, and hospitals with the best reputation by autonomous community.
