A large number of workers and their children enjoyed a change of routine in the company of the Blue and White team. It was the last training session of the week at the stadium and turned out to be special. More than a hundred children whose parents form part the big family made up of the Hospiten hospitals on the island and their families visited the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez Stadium to cheer on and support the Tenerife team before their match on Sunday at 17.00 against Real Jaen.
First of all, they watched the first part of the workout and then the children were divided into four groups by age and accompanied round the facilities by a club representative on a 20 minute tour of areas like the OCU (Operational Co-ordination Unit), the press room, the VIP box, the radio and television room and the Box of Honor. The young Blue and White supporters followed the guided tour with great interest and asked a number of questions about each area.
Afterwards, there was a tour of the exterior to the Horseshoe Gate, stopping at the mosaic in honor of Rommel Fernandez and explaining each of the symbols. Finally, the children were allowed onto the pitch and have their photo taken with the team who attended the children’s requests by signing autographs and posing with the many children and adults who asked them to.
And so it was a special day for the young Blue and White supporters who showed their support and the following that make a team. The Hospiten Group joined the club last summer as official medical sponsor.
