The companies undertake to carry out joint social and sports activities.
The Hospiten Group is fully committed to the continuity of Canarias Basketball Club in the Endesa League. The prestigious, Tenerife-based international organization has acquired a stake in the island club to support the club’s becoming a Publically Traded Sports Company, an indispensable requirement to go on competing in the ACB (Basketball Club Association).
The agreement was closed this morning at the Pabellon Insular de Tenerife Santiago Martin facilities by the president of Canarias BC, Felix Hernandez, and the Commercial, Marketing and Communications Director of the Hospiten Group, Carlos Salazar Benitez.
The agreement between the parties goes beyond the island team’s becoming a publically traded sports company. On the one hand, the two companies commit to carrying out activities to promote basketball among school children on the island, mainly among the islands less favored children, with the help of professional players from Canarias BC.
On the other hand, the Hospiten Group joins the list of Canarias sponsors for the season and, fruit of the agreement, will be present on the various publicity supports at the Santiago Martin stadium at the team’s home games and on the digital advertising frame at press conferences.
For the president of Canarias BC, Felix Hernandez, the agreement “is a source of pride for us, because we are creating close ties with one of the most prestigious companies, that represents the same values we do and projects particular sensitivity towards social and sports issues, and always from a very healthy, professional stance”.
In the words of the Hospiten Group representative, Carlos Salazar Benitez, “We are extremely satisfied at the signing of the agreement with Canarias BC, as it strengthens the commitment of the Hospiten Group with the Tenerife company, encouraging healthy lifestyles among the public and, in particular, encouraging the practice of sport”.
