The Hospiten Group obtains the European Seal of Excellence EFQM 500+

  • This certification is granted by the Club for Excellence in Management, after successfully completing an external evaluation carried out jointly with AENOR.

September 6, 2017. The CEO of the Hospiten Group, Juan Jose Hernandez Rubio, today received the certificate corresponding to the European Seal of Excellence EFQM 500+ from the Managing Director of AENOR, Rafael Garcia Meiro and the Secretary General of the Club for Excellence in Management , Ignacio Babe.

This Seal distinguishes those organizations that follow a strategy oriented towards excellence and have achieved the objectives set and is granted by the Club for Excellence in Management, after successfully completing an external evaluation carried out jointly with AENOR. The EFQM 500+ is the highest level of recognition awarded by the Club for Excellence in Management to organizations.

Among other strengths, the evaluation report emphasizes that the organization is leading an expansion of the Group at an international level, in which "it has been successful in transmitting its corporate culture to each of its centers; in addition, the expansion of the network of hospitals has been carried out with criteria of sustainable construction and optimization of consumption".

Regarding its Management System, they indicate that Hospiten demonstrates "a comprehensive control over the operational performance of each hospital and, in general, of the Group, allowing continuous adaptation of services and resources according to the needs detected; managing change effectively, through continuous contact with key stakeholders".

Likewise, the evaluation report also highlights "the positive trends of recommendation that customers make of Hospiten" as well as "competitive healthcare".

Juan Jose Hernandez Rubio highlights "the commitment of the Hospiten Group for quality and safety following international standards".

Ignacio Babe highlights "Hospiten's commitment to excellence in resource management, leadership and organizational results."

For Rafael Garcia Meiro, "Hospiten demonstrates how management systems bring great value to achieve a solid expansion."

 

About the EFQM Seal of Excellence

The EFQM is a foundation formed by organizations or member companies and created in 1988 by fourteen leading European companies. Its mission is to be the force that drives excellence in European organizations in a sustained manner.

The EFQM is represented in the different European countries through the partners. The Club for Excellence in Management is the official representative and primary partner of the EFQM in Spain; for its part, AENOR is accredited by the Club in the European Seal of Excellence EFQM.

There are four acknowledgments, corresponding to the levels of Excellence in Management in which an organization may be found: Commitment to Excellence and European Excellence 300+, 400+ and 500+. Once the European Seal of Excellence is obtained, the institution automatically receives equivalent international recognition from EFQM.

 

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Certificates

This Seal joins the 24 AENOR certificates (13 of the Quality Management System in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 9001 and 11 of the Environmental Management System according to the UNE-EN ISO 14001 standard) currently held by the Hospiten Group for different hospitals in Spain and the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica; demonstrating its commitment to Management Systems and continuous improvement.

The Hospiten Group obtained its first certificates with AENOR in 1998, which have since been renewed and expanded.
