Santa Cruz de Tenerife, April 28, 2025. Hospiten Sur University Hospital has set up a new Care Unit (ICU). The aim of this new space is to improve the quality of physical care with greater medical presence in intensive care 24 hours a day.

Hospiten has completed its second edition of the 180 Challenge, an initiative whose main objective is to promote the improvement of nutritional and sports habits among its staff to prevent cardiovascular diseases. In this edition, 18 Hospiten employees from different departments took part, including central offices, administrative, maintenance and healthcare staff. This challenge was carried out over six months through a complete routine of sports activities, medical follow-up, nutritional re-education and medical check-ups. In addition, this year the staff received psychological support from professionals from the Faculty of Health Sciences of the European University of the Canary Islands.

The Hospiten Sur University Hospital celebrates its 40th anniversary on Thursday, May 8, at the Magma Arte & Congresos in Adeje.
