Santa Cruz de Tenerife, February 5, 2021. Hospiten centers in Tenerife, specifically Hospiten Bellevue, Hospiten Sur and Hospiten Rambla, have been certified as University Hospitals after a two-year accreditation process together with the European University of the Canary Islands carried out by the Canary Health Service, ensuring compliance with indicators required by a hospital to be a university hospital.
Hospiten is the only private healthcare group to have three of its centers in the Canary Islands accredited as university hospitals.
In addition to the continuity of the health services they provide, the centers, located in Puerto de la Cruz, the south of Tenerife and in the capital of the island, will provide university students with training and academic research overseen by Hospiten medical and nursing specialists in collaboration with the European University of the Canary Islands.
The president of the Hospiten Group, Pedro Luis Cobiella, is proud and satisfied by the accreditation that “highlights the importance of teaching and research, which are key to the future of an institution like ours and confirms that Hospiten continues to grow and demonstrates the group’s commitment to patients and to education of human talent”.
The collaboration between Hospiten and the European University of the Canary Islands is yet another of the various projects the company runs with students studying health or research careers, so they can complete their training and start their professional life in the field of health care accompanied by top experts.
Pedro Luis Cobiella also wanted to make a special mention of the hard work and dedication of the professionals who "have made this possible thanks to their experience, and quality teaching and research, among other qualities that make us as an international benchmark”.
