The Hospiten Group has renewed its commitment as a sponsor of the Tenerife Bluetrail, a mountain race organized by the Cabildo (the Tenerife Island Government) through Ideco (Sports, Culture and Leisure Management) that will take place next June 2 - 5. The island councilor for Sports, Concepcion Rivero, and the vice president and CEO of the Hospiten Group, Pedro Luis Cobiella, signed the agreement today, Thursday, April 28, at an act also attended by the CEO of Ideco, Santiago Romero.
Rivero highlights "the shared values of the Tenerife Bluetrail and the Hospiten Group regarding the promotion of healthy lifestyles, as well as other factors like teamwork, solidarity or respect for the environment".
For his part, Pedro Luis Cobiella expressed his satisfaction at once again being part of this race as the official medical service. "We are proud to contribute to creating a safer race and to promote the values of sport, which we share in our company, like hard work, dedication and commitment", Mr. Cobiella stresses.
The agreement specifies that Hospiten will offer registered runners a discount on sports heart check-ups. It is a fundamental tool for technicians, sports trainers and health professionals who evaluate athletes, allowing them to discover the true potential of each athlete and avoid immediate, very serious complications, which will help them improve their training in safety and with certain guarantees.
The check-up includes an interview focused on cardiovascular risk factors, a complete physical examination, electrocardiogram and echocardiogram, where cardiac function and any congenital and/or acquired alterations will be analyzed in detail. The specialists also perform a conventional treadmill stress test on the athlete to rule out pathologies that could occur when significant effort is made.
Tenerife Bluetrail 2022 runners interested in the check-up can make an appointment online on the center's website or using the Hospiten app.
