Hospiten will participate for the first time in the My Baby and Me Fair, to be held on November 8 and 9 at IFEMA (Madrid). The aim of the hospital group is to reinforce its commitment to families in the perinatal stage and its vocation to offer comprehensive maternity care.

The Hospiten Sur University Hospital and Hospiten Lanzarote, with the aim of improving their energy efficiency and the environment, have been awarded grants from the Department of Ecological Transition and Energy of the Canary Islands Government for the promotion of photovoltaic generation in anthropized spaces, within the framework of the Sustainable Strategy in the Canary Islands, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (Component 7, Investment 2).

On the occasion of World Melanoma Day, which is commemorated on May 23, Hospiten warns of the difficulty of detecting suspicious skin cancer lesions in patients with tattoos. Although they are increasingly common and have a significant aesthetic component, tattoos can have little known health implications, including making early detection of melanomas and other skin cancers more difficult. In addition, tattoo ink often contains chemicals that can cause allergic and inflammatory reactions, and in some cases, even the development of tumors such as lymphoma.

This link between Hospiten and CD Estepona is renewed for the 2024/25 season, so that the hospital group will be the official medical service of the team that plays in Group IV of the Second Federation of Spanish soccer.

Hospiten continues its mission to create an ecosystem of wellbeing where people are at the center of everything; this includes the care of mothers, both those who are new mothers and those who are not. That is why, during this World Breastfeeding Week, which began on August 1 and ends tomorrow, August 7, Hospiten wanted to inform about some of the benefits of breastfeeding, so that all mothers can choose freely and with verified information if they want to and can breastfeed as part of their babies' growth.
