The first golden-black team will start their round of medical check-ups on Tuesday, August 19.
Iberostar Tenerife and the Hospiten Group have renewed the important agreement through which the prestigious hospital network will be, for the second season running, in charge of official medical services for the team representing Tenerife in the Endesa League. The agreement was sealed with an official signing event attended by Felix Hernandez, president of the Canary team, and Juan Jose Hernandez Rubio, CEO of the Hospiten Group.
As from Tuesday, August 19, the players of the Canary first team will begin the round of standard medical check-ups, prior to commencing training, at HospitenRambla, which is fundamental to preventing cardiovascular diseases. HospitenRambla also has a large Sports Trauma Unit that can provide treatment for or prevent any setbacks that may occur during the season.
The two companies have committed to carry out joint social and sports activities, as they did last season. The Hospiten Group has 16 medical-hospital centers in the Canary Islands, on the Costa del Sol, in Madrid, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica, which undoubtedly showcases the prestige, quality and reputation of the group in the healthcare sector.
The president of Iberostar Tenerife, Felix Hernandez, expressed the importance of the agreement reached, giving the team access to an international healthcare institution providing the team with first-rate medical services, which is a matter of pride for us.
Juan Jose Hernandez Rubio, CEO of the Hospiten Group, on the other hand, expressed his great satisfaction at the agreement reached with Iberostar Tenerife, as it reinforces our commitment to Canary society, as well as supporting our best teams and, thus, fostering healthy lifestyles among the public through sport.
